Bill to Propose: Remove all animal products from the compound
Additional Notes: Animals are not ours to eat or wear, yet our cafeteria and councilor penthouse serve meat dishes with alarming regularity. Not only that, but there are coats made of fur and animal skin in the marketplace! Therefore, I propose we ban all products used on the compound that are derived from animals. We must never kill or exploit animals for any reason whatsoever -- to do so is a sin against nature.

Date: 2010-10-19 05:48 pm (UTC)What you're proposing at this very moment would expend much of our resources. Setting out Agents to find and dispose of all animal products, some private property... is not something we can afford at this moment. Throwing away the meat ingredients we purchased would also be wasteful. Not only that, but we would have to set up a regulatory team in order to seek out more animal products that are brought into the compound. I'm afraid that as far as our resources are concerned, there is no way we can spend them on something like this given what has been happening as of late.
Still, there is nothing stopping you from making an effort to persuade your agents and enforcers yourself. Using animal products is a choice, after all.
